RANG, the events and cultural committee at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Bangalore aims to provide the students a platform to go beyond their academic quest and explore their artistic and creative side. Rang is committed towards celebrating the spirit of togetherness throughout the span of the year by conducting themed events round the year, bringing a whiff of fresh air amidst all the academic hustle-bustle. Major festivals such as Diwali, Holi and days of national importance like Independence Day and Republic day are celebrated with great vigor and enthusiasm. The committee also nurtures performing arts by promoting in house clubs for dramatics, dancing and singing disciplines.

The major objective of the committee is to build a student’s personality by ensuring to give enough opportunities to explore the creative field that will enhance their management skills.


The annual management and cultural fest of NMIMS, Bangalore is organized by Rang committee. It’s a 4-day extravaganza that comprises both management and cultural events targeted at building better business personnel and upcoming leaders. By virtue of 9 management events and several cultural activities, Nityaksh V received participation students from various colleges all across the country. The 4-day event happened in the month of October starting on 6th and ending on 9th. The entire event witnessed a footfall of over 4000 students, attracting participation from over 100 colleges across the country!

The event ended on 4th day with an enthralling and special performance by the stand-up comedy duo “Kenny Sebastian” & “Abish Mathew”.


The committee organizes the annual Independence Day celebration to commemorate the sacrifice and contribution of endless struggles which lead to the free India we see today. The day begins with flag hoisting by the Director. It was followed by traditional dance forms as well as modern contemporary dance forms. This was accompanied by soulful songs sung by the students and playing of live instruments. Not to forget the effortless decoration of the venue by handmade sculpture of the Indian map comprising of photos of all the students in the batch.


To celebrate the festivities of Navratri, a Dandiya Night is organized on the roof top cafeteria of the college. The night started off with Navratri Puja and went on to students performing their garba and dandiya moves on the thumping tunes. Girls flaunted their ghaghras and lehengas while boys were dressed in glossy kurtas and shervaanis making the events filled with glitz, glamour and a traditional flavor.


The festival of colors and the last one for the academic year, we bid adieu to the countless memories that we’ve made all along the year with this festival. Celebrated within the vicinity of the hostel premises it was a fun filled and a colorful day ironically marking the end of events conducted by “RANG” for the year!
